Patient Assistance

My mother had cancer around 5 years ago now but it seems as though it was just yesterday. My dad had a decent job but they had very good health insurance so they at least didn't have to worry about bills when she was going through this but what if she didn't have insurance? Ironically 6 months after her treatment was completed my dad lost his job and they had no insurance for 6 months! Sanford-Brown

My best friend is a doctor and my other friend is a nurse and my other close friend is a medical assistant....it seems as though they all went into the medical field but me! My cousin who is currently unemployed is also looking to become that medical assistant. A great site to is the Sanford-Brown Instutiution site - http://www.sbnorthloop.com/. They have great short term programs for medical assistant as well as ultrasound technician which is what I would want to do and many other programs in the medical related field. They have 15 campuses to in 9 different states. My cousin is 35 years old and it is just never to late to start that new career in my opinion. She is very excited about it because all her kids are in school and she just wants a career now.

Protect Your Eyes

It is so important especially during the summer months to protect your eyes from the sun's harmful rays. But you should really protect your eyes year round. you may not think about it during the colder months but it is important and the suns rays are just as damaging to you eyes in January as they are in August.

That is why you should wear sunglasses and you should always have a pair in your car because it the sun's glare can be very dangerous. I especially find it dangerous when the sun comes out after it rains or it snows. The roads have a terrible glare. Or when it is sunset or sunrise time and it seems I always drive into the sunrise on the way to work and drive into the sunset on my way home

Do Your Research

When it comes to certain medical supplies that you may have in your hoe you really want to make sure that they are accurate and that they work. Ever step on your scale and then when you go to your doctors it is like 5 pounds more..that just never fails with me. A scale is not too big of a deal if it is off especially if you know it will be 5 pounds off but other things like diabetes monitors and blood pressure monitors....they can be more serious if they are off.

My mother goes to the local pharmacy to use their blood pressure machines but m y grandmother and grandfather have high blood pressure and they are a lot older obviously so they bought one and have it in their home. When you are shopping for something like this you really want to make sure that you ask your doctor for a recommended brand and not only that but do your research and read up on what other people have to say. And make sure that you get a guarantee so if it doesn't work for you then you can return it.

With A Grain Of Salt

In my opinion you can not take other peoples opinions too seriously sometimes. I try to take everything with a grain of salt. I listen but I don't always agree and and I don't always follow their advice. I value most of my friends and family's opinions but that does not meant that I agree with them. And I take all of their constructive criticism with that grain of salt otherwise I would be a puppet to everyone who talks to me!

Don't Hold It In

I n my opinion it is just not a good idea to keep it all in and bottled up because one of thses days you will just blow for no apparent reason or over a littl thing and people will just think you are crazy. It is just not healthy - it can cause unwanted and unnecissary stress and can even affect the way you look. Not to mention that it really takes a toll on your over all attitute, mood and health. So if you are upset...then be upset and if you are sad then be sad!

It is just always a good thing to make sure that you have protected when it comes to insurance and they have everything out there from home to health to Van Insurance to even travelers insurance. Strawberries and Baking Soda

My cousin laughed at me when I told her how she could make her teeth whiter without having to spend a fortune on teething whitening products. She just laughed at me but I told her to do this and in 2 weeks she will notice a difference. So we took a picture of her teeth to compare it. She brushed her teeth with baking soda and every morning fro 2 weeks she had strawberries in the morning and would rub them on her teeth. Her teeth are getting whiter and noticeably so!!!!
