Last month my husband did the herbal Colon Cleanser and it was quite something. He didn't like the process since it was his first time but he really did feel so much better afterwards. And to detox your body of toxins is just so important when it comes to maintaining your overall health. It is actually key to your personal wellness. And you can get it right over the counter and at the market today. The colon cleanse can help you get rid of all those toxins that have been building up in your digestive system and tract all those years. And if you have ever seen a picture you would be completely and totally grossed out!!!
If you are on a budget but you still want that really nice shampo then here is a great way to get it. Just get some plain baby shampoo. I like the johnson and johnson kind. If you have oily hair and would like really nice highlights then try chamomile. Get a saucepan and put just enough water in it to cover the herbs of the tea bag. Get it to a boil and then let the herbs steep in it for around 20 minutes. Then add the liquid to the shampoo. You will have a nice shampoo that is salon quality! And your hair will look and smell great!
I just love making my own scrubs. I have made honey and sugar scrubs for my face but lately I have been making body scrubs and I just love them. It i just so easy to do and a lot less expensive than the things you buy in the beauty shops! Just mix a cup of salt - Epsom salt is what I use with virgin olive oil. I then add a few drops of peppermint oil for my own scent and pleasure. Then I use it as a scrub - it is not only refreshing but it makes your skin look and feel so healthy!!
I had chemical peels done for a little over a year on my face every 8 weeks. And the first time I had it done I was in shock. The first time is the worst though. My skin literally peeled for 2 weeks...it was horrible and embarrassing. If you have never had a chemical peel do not do it right before a special occasion or even...give your self at least 3 weeks for your skin to repair itself. My skin was in pain too - stay out of the sun and the wind after a chemical peel that is for sure! And get some nice lotion from your dermatologist because you will need it!
I have a very good friend that has always suffered from acid reflux and it gets a lot worse at night when she is trying to sleep. She found that sleeping on an incline has really helped her out alot. There are actually sleep incliners that you can by to put on your existing mattress so you can sleep better if you suffer from acid reflux. Or you can go and get the beds that are adjustable.
Here are some foods you may just want to cut out of your diet if you are on a diet or if you are just trying to stay healthy..... fried foods, burgers, pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage, cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream, sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces. Of course you can have some once in a while...but everything in moderation...just do not overdo it and don't forget your fruits and veggies!!!
Do not forget to move throughout the day. Especially if you have that desk job and you are sitting for the better part of the day. Make the effort to get up and move around. Perhaps go up and down the stair instead of the escalators or elevators. Mow the lawn with that push lawn mover, or even just walk your dog. You don't have to go to the gym or go to that aerobics class..just get up and move!
So they say that a healthy weight gain when you are pregnant is between 25 pounds and 37 pounds....that is pretty reasonable but I gained 70 with each of my pregnancies. I always had good doctor appointments though - my blood pressure was always just right on. It is just important to make sure that you always go for your regular check ups.
I got this Mr. Pumice a few months ago and over time I hae notice an huge improvement in my feet. I have always had bad feet...well that is ever since I had children. Pregancy weight that I had gained with my pregnancies really did a number on my feet. I like Mr. Pumice because it has those two different sides. And it really lasts and doesn't get all yucky and discusting like my other pumice bars. The best price I have seen for this product and where I have got it was at www.beautifulperfumes.com - there may be better prices out there so look around first but this was under $3 and I got it super quick from this site.
If you have honey based lip balm or lip balm that is primarily made up of honey then you also have a temporary solution to your minor cuts, nicks, wounds or burns. If you have a tiny cut that is irritating then you may just want to put some of your lip balm on it to help sooth the pain and reduce the chance of infection. Honey has great healing properties and is great for antibacterial and antifungal uses. And it really makes your lips nourished and healthy looking and feeling.
I just thing that razor burn is so painful. So here is a great tip to try if you get that dreaded razor burn. It is just so simple and very cost effective and it really works because I have tried this. Cucumber with yogurt...it is soothing and healingn at the same time. Make a puree of that mixture and it will prevent razor burns, irritations and even ingrown hairs...ouch!!! I even ue it as a shaving cream!
Manuka Honey is something that is growing in popularity because of it's ability to fight viruses and bacterial infections so successfully. Raw honey is very good for colds but this type of honey actually will fight infections and have been known to actually help with cancer in the mouth. But do not heat up this honey or any honey because it will get rid of the great health benefits.
