Home Natural Remedies Resources
Many may wonder where I do my research and the books, magazines and references I get my sources from...Basically I get my info from here and there. Many are actually just things I have always remembered over the years and a lot is from my grandmother and great grandmother. I also listen to a lot of Healthy Talk Radio
However, I do have some sources that I refer to quite frequently:
Nature's Best Herbal Remedies Book by Dr. James A.
Duke Ph.D.
The Green Pharmacy by Dr. James A. Duke, Ph.D.
The Honey Book, by Emily Thacker
The Vinegar Book, by Emily Thacker
Folk Remedies That Work by Joan Wilen, Lydia Wilen
American Folk Medicine, by Clarence Meyer
Herbal Medicine by R. F. Weiss
Heinerman's Encyclopedia of Fruits, Vegetables and
Herbs by John Heinerman
The Folk Remedy Encyclopedia by Frank K. Wood
Honey, Mud, Maggots, and Other Medical Marvels: The Science Behind Folk Remedies and Old Wives' Tales by Robert Root-Bernstein, Michele Root-Bernstein
Encyclopedia of Healing by Reba Ann Karp
The Herbal Medicine Maker's Handbook: A Home Manual by James Green
Herb & Supplement Encyclopedia by Suzanne Diamond,
B.Sc., M.Sc. Botany
The Medical Advisor: The Complete Guide to Alternative
& Conventional Treatments Home Edition by Time-Life
Books
The World's Healthiest Foods, Essential Guide for the
Healthiest Way of Eating by George Mateljan
I try to stay current with the newest books and references. I have many friends that also enjoy reading up and researching on natural remedies and stuff of the like - so we share quite often with each other our "knowledge" on what we have read and what has work for us
The way I present my blog is a quick overview of what certain herbs, foods, flowers....can do for you. I do not list amounts because everyone is different. I am simply sharing what I know and have researched in the quickest and most easist way possible - simply by listing the benefits.
I am not by any means a doctor or health professional - I just enjoy and prefer natural remedies and prevention methods. ALWAYS consult your doctor before using any natural remedies, herbs, old wives tales or folk medicine. This blog is for informational/reading purposes and is not meant as a substitution for your doctors medical advice.

Medicinal Nature
~Manda
I'd read your blog more often and even spread the word about it if I would see more quality writing such as this.
I make these posts very easy to read through quickly - I just try to state what the health benefits are of the foods or how they are natural remedies for certain ailments. Of course one thing is not going to cure all ailments. However, if you are having a headache - you can browse through here you can easily see that having a banana may help it rather than ... oh way...having a peach.
If I do have spelling errors feel free to email me - you don't have to post it - I do check but sometimes things get by - thanks!
Please do come back often and feel free to post if you have some natural remedies your would like to share!
